Linnen v. Moore. We analysed and reported on the investment record and techniques of a specialist United States media investor whose estate brought a uniquely high profile Fatal Accidents Act claim following his death in a road accident in London.
Administrators of Astra Holdings Plc v. Stoy Hayward. We reported on the respective roles and responsibilities undertaken by Paine Webber and Stoy Hayward in the context of an acquisition by Astra of a Belgian company, PRB SA, and the associated rights issue.
Disciplinary proceedings under the Joint Disciplinary Scheme of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. We produced a further report on the roles of Paine Webber and Stoy Hayward re Astra’s acquisition of PRB SA.
Administrators of Polly Peck International v. Stoy Hayward. We reported on the discharge by the management (principally the Directors) of Polly Peck International of its responsibilities in relation to the financial controls of the group in the period prior to the appointment of Administrators, and the consequences of any shortcomings identified.
These appointments largely derive from financial failures following a severe downturn in the economy. Stafford is currently engaged in a number of similar, confidential investigations. |
